Title:  Program Coordinator

Location: Washington, DC highly preferred. May also be located near our California offices.

Start Date:  ASAP, Full time Permanent Position

With an expanding portfolio of humanitarian assistance and disaster preparedness, risk mitigation and recovery programs, we are currently seeking a Program Coordinator to support the implementation of programs and operations across our international development portfolio.

Program Coordination:

  • Act as a key point of contact with the Asia Region to provide program and operational support including scheduling meetings, coordinating workflows, and ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in cross functional teams and initiatives. 

Program and Operational Support:

  • Support program implementation ensuring donor compliance and operational excellence when handling administrative, programmatic, and operational tasks.
  • Identify administrative gaps and needs and, help develop operational or compliance systems to support multi-country program implementation.
  • Prepare presentations, talking points, research documents, and briefing papers
  • Contract drafting, tracking, and updating.
  • Develop system and manage on-boarding of International Development staff and consultants.
  • Develop and maintain a roster of subject matter experts.
  • Track staff travels.
  • Lead invoice training for consultants and support processing of invoices.
  • Provide procurement support.

 

Business Development:

  • Coordinate and support business development efforts that include, writing concept notes, editing documents, and participation in the proposal development process.
  • Monitor donor websites and calls for proposals and report on new opportunities.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree in International Relations or International Development, International Relations, Disaster Management, or related field highly preferred.
  • At least 3 years of work experience within the international development and humanitarian assistance sector.
  • Experience working on Asia Pacific programming a plus.
  • Prior experience implementing programs with USAID, the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and/or other multilateral or bilateral partners highly desired.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with technical and non-technical audiences are essential. Must be detail and deadline oriented and well-organized.
  • Creative, resourceful self-starter and multi-tasker, as well as the ability to be flexible, problem solve independently and work well across time zones with remote, global teams.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
